THE PLEASURE OF WALKING
Walking in Westendorf - there is no sport better for you to replenish energy stores and to just switch off.
Discover the pleasure of walking with family and friends on the multitude of varied walking routes in Brixental. Altogether there are 500 km of tracks waiting to be discovered. Surrounded by romantic mountain ranges with fields, forests and high pastures in and around Brixental, walkers can choose from any level of difficulty.
Enjoy the fresh, clear mountain air, the pleasant climate and the magnificent views.
Tirols panorama mountain Nr. 1 - the Hohe Salve
The 360° view of over 70 '3-thousanders' from the rotating panorama platform at the restaurant on top the Hohe Salve is also possible to enjoy without exerting yourself. The Hopfgarten lifts make the ascent easy and comforable with two modern cable cars!
Visit the highest house of God in Austria, the John the Baptist pilgrim chapel, combined with a beautiful walk. Every Wednesday, from 6 July to 14 September 2011, at 11.00 am prayers are read out in der Salven church.
The walk around the crest of the Hohen Salve is suitable for everybody:
an easy and relatively flat panorama track with wonderful views of all surrounding mountains.
Every Wednesday and Thursday at lunchtime, in the panorama restaurant atop the Hohen Salve, you can watch the chef making the traditional Tirolean 'Kirchtags-Kiachl' (made from yeast dough, deep fried and filled with jam or sauerkraut).
Experience the adventure on the Hohe Salve on foot or take the modern 8-man gondel from Hopfgarten or Söll.

ADVENTURE PARK ALPINOLINO
The adventure park in Westendorf, where children can discover and experience hands-on the secrets of nature.
Designed with aesthetic qualitites and educational know-how, the park holds the interest of children for many hours at stations such as the „Marmot rally“ or the „Animal quiz tour“.
On guided nature walks children play at detective following the trail to the wonders of nature. Here in Alpinolino knowledge comes alive, astounding children and parents alike.
ELLMI´S MAGICAL WORLD
Especially the little ones are enchanted by "Ellmi’s Zauberwelt". Up on top the Ellmauer Hartkaiser, easily accessible on the „Zauberexpress“ vernicular rail, lies this mystical magicial fairytale world.
HEXENWASSER - HOCHSÖLL
Daily from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, the Hexenwasser invites the whole family to discover and experience over 60 stations. Humming stone, water jumping bowl, witches mill, house of the queen bee, witches ladder… Competent Hexenwasser staff ensure visitors see and experience the fascinating wonders of nature. The barefoot track leads you over rough and smooth, through streams and fields massaging reflex zones and revitalising the body! See the bees at the bee theatre, follow the path of the dance of the bees or climb into the dark beehive, you'll come out bewinged!

Wildpark Aurach - EXPERIENCE "WILD" ANIMALS CLOSE UP
Opened in 1973, the Wildpark expands an area of 40 ha and is a spectacle of a unique kind. Most animals roam freely, and visitors roam freely among them.
Here you find mainly animals from the alpine region like red and fallow deer, moufflon, alpine ibex and wild boars, lynx, miniature goats, pheasants, geese, donkeys and owls. In contrast there are also exotic animals such as yak, lama, pot-bellied pig, japanese macaque and barbary apes, kangaroos and emus to marvel at.
The idyllically situated park is an experience any time of the year. A main attraction is the daily wild animal feeding at 2:30 pm. (Except during the rut in September and October).
Niederkaser Cheese Dairy
Visit the cheese dairy in the heart of the Kitzbühler Alps. For generations now, raw milk cheeses are made according to traditional recipes.
You can visit the 90 dairy cows grazing on the high pastures in the fresh mountain air.
Whilst taking in the magnificent view of the alpine ranges you can enjoy a hearty mountain snack with original farmers speck and six different types of cheeses, which you can also buy to take home.
Mountain biking
With its gently sculptured mountains, Westendorf provides ideal conditions for touring and mountain biking. From easy bike tours down in the valley to challenging mountain bike routes, it's paradise for both the leisure biker and the more sporty.
Swimming
